Privacy Policy

Operational Notes is a personal, non-commercial journal. It has no accounts, comments, newsletter or contact form, and it does not ask you for any personal information.

When you visit

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. The site runs no analytics, and I do not receive a list of visitors. Cloudflare describes its handling of this data in its privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The site does not set cookies, does not use local or session storage, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. This is why there is no cookie banner. If Cloudflare’s security checks challenge a visit, Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie to record that the check was passed. That cookie is used only for security.

If this changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.

Contacting me

Messages go through LinkedIn, where LinkedIn’s own privacy policy applies. I use what you send only to reply, and I delete it on request.

Articles link to sources and to LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Your rights

If you have contacted me, you can ask what I hold about you and ask me to delete it. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
